They are near to the works of Roman ruins done by Hieronymus Cock.
Shown are well known views from the Forum Romano and the Coliseum, but also
views from squares in Roman that had a totally other appearance then
nowadays.
The drawings were made by Hendrick Van Cleve and engraved by Galle.
