Italian Old Master Prints.

Let's admit, Italian art breathes a refinement and originality, in a most direct manner related to the roots of our culture. Nowhere else the ancient culture was given new life in such a bold and genius way. Of course the presence of antique Greek, Roman and Etruscan artefacts on the territory played a role, but also the pride and finesse of the Italian artists played a factor in the establishment of those sublime masterworks during Italian renaissance. The Italian influence was spread all over Europe and nourished emerging art centres like Fontainebleau and Antwerp.

The oldmasterprint.net site has been expanded with some twenty selected prints.
The selection is focussed on 16th century's work by established artists such as Ghisi, Carracci, Raimondi and Cherubini, completed with some 17th century's works by Reni and Leoni.

Use the button 'New' upper right on the page. When clicking this and choosing 'yes' from the menu, you will see all the Italian prints recently added to the site. You can do the same of course with the button 'school' or 'period' ...and refine the selection to your preferences in the shopping options on the left.
When clicking the button
'artist' you have to be a little bid patient and then a page loads up where you can select any artist to see work for sale.
The strongest one? The icon of the magnifying glass: if you click on it you get a search field to search the entire store.

Enjoy the selection, all prints with large images and prices are available for purchase.  All comments are additions concerning this blog are welcome.
